President Harry S. Truman campaigned across the country in May and June, 1948, and again in September and October, 1948. The second tour was referred to as the Whistlestop tour. Truman visited Sun Valley in June 1948. He ran for re-election on the Democratic ticket and won in Idaho. He stands with fishing rod at Sun Valley Lake in this photo. Photographer unknown.
